‘Mouse’ actress Kim Min Kyung dies at 61 – Times of India

Veteran South Korean actress Kim Min Kyung passed away at the age of 61 on August 16. Confirming the news, Soompi quoted the actress’ agency DaHong Entertainment, “Kim Min Kyung passed away yesterday (August 16).” She is currently laid to rest at a hospital in Seoul and her funeral will take place on August 18.”

The cause of death has not been disclosed yet by the agency.

Kim Min Kyung is known for her contributions to the Korean entertainment industry ever since her debut in a theatrical troupe in 1979. Bagging the Best newcomer award at the Korea Theater Festival in 1981, later she appeared in several bigscreen and smallscreen projects throughout her career of more than 4 decades.

Some of Kim Min Kyung’s best works include, ‘Tazza’, ‘Someone Behind You’, ‘Where the Truth Lies’ and many more. She is popular for K-Dramas like ‘The Moon Embracing the Sun, ‘When Camellia Blooms’, ‘The Flower in Prison’ and more.

In the recent, she appeared in ‘Mouse’ and ‘A Good Supper’. She was also a part of the crime-action flick ‘Pipeline’. Two of her last films ‘Spiritwalker’ and ‘1947 Boston’ are yet to be released.
