Money Heist’s Nairobi has made sure to earn a massive fan following because of her charm, wit and sensibility she portrays in the show.

Portrayed by Alba Fores, she is one of the most loved characters in the Spanish web show.

But did you know, apart from portraying a gang member, Alba had once played an Indian woman in a Spanish film? Back in 2013, Alba Flores appeared in a Spanish film called ‘Vicente Ferrer’ where she essayed the role of a Telugu woman — Shamira, a village woman.

Clad in a saree with braided hair, she looks every bit the Telugu woman and adding to this,the actress also spoke the language for her part in the movie. The clip of her scene has gone viral, and fans across India have been heaping praises for the actress’s Alba’s ability to bring authenticity into the role of an Indian woman.

In the show Money Heist, Nairobi served as the quality manager of the group, and often found herself shunned in moments, despite being able to voice her opinion with conviction. When she was in charge of the heist, she ensured less bloodshed too and fewer disparities in the gang. She is one of the strongest female characters in the show challenging the notion of patriarchy in the gang.

The Spanish web show aired its first season back in 2017, which instantly became a major hit globally along with having a massive Indian audience. After almost one and a half years, the makers released the finale season.
