Bollywood actress Esha Gupta created a storm on the internet when she posted her sunbathing picture on Instagram recently. Going topless, her back was spotted facing the camera while she posed effortlessly.

However, this didn’t go down well with a few netizens who targeted the actress for her bold pictures. To this, she recently opened up about online trolls to a news portal.

Reacting to the mean comments on her topless pictures, she talked about people being gender-biased. She questioned if a male actor is not asked to cover up when sharing a shirtless picture, why it’s the women in the industry who usually faces the flak.

Blaming the mentality of the people, she said that often a women’s choice of clothes is held responsible for promoting rape. While the actress has now learned that ignorance is bliss, in her case, she also said that people will always point fingers at her no matter what she is doing as she recalled mean comments on her different posts.

While Esha wishes the world to become more progressive, she also asserted that sexism and gender inequality is common all around the world as people dislike women who speak their minds and are upfront. “They like cutesy girls. But people know that I’m strong and if someone slaps me, I’m going to slap them twice” she signed out.
