Kamal Haasan tests positive for COVID-19 – Times of India

With the number of COVID-19 positive cases across the country declining slowly, everyone seems to be getting back to their normal lives. While the film fraternity is also getting back on its feet, there have a few celebrities have been affected by the deadly coronavirus recently. The latest to be affected is none other than Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan, who has tested positive for COVID-19.

The star actor had travelled to the United States recently foe the launch of his clothing brand and returned to the country to resume shooting for his upcoming film ‘Vikram’ directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Kamal Haasan had apparently had cough and so got tested for COVID-19 and the results have unfortunately come out as positive.

Taking to his social networking page, Kamal Haasan posted in Tamil, ehich translates to, “After returning from America, I had slight cough. Following a test it was confirmed that I have tested positive for COVID-19. I have isolated myself in the hospital. Request everyone to be careful understanding that the speard of the virus hasn’t stopped.”

Looks like this unfortunate incident would postpone the fourth and final shooting schedule of ‘Vikram’, which valso stars Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil.

‘Vikram’ is said to be an action thriller written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj with music by Anirudh Ravichander. The film also has an interesting line of star cast which includes Arjun Das, Kalidas Jayaram, Narain, Shivani and Myna Nandhini among many others.
