Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif told to visit Trinetra Ganesh Temple in Ranthambore fort – Times of India

A centuries old Ganesh Temple, housed within Ranthambore Fort, situated at the height of 1500 ft could be the destination where Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif could seek divine blessings during their wedding week in Rajasthan.

Locals in Ranthambore and Sawai Madhopur have recommended that the to-be-wedded couple visit the Trinetra Ganesh Temple to seek blessings from the God. Situated at about 32 kilometers from the Six Senses Fort Barwara resort, this unique Ganesha Temple has a legacy of having the ultimate blessing power for new beginnings and newly weds. Such is the popularity of the temple that thousands send the first copy of their wedding invitations to this temple as a gesture of an auspicious beginning.

Reportedly, the temple receives thousands of wedding invitations every day, all of which are laid out in front of the three-eyed Ganesha idol in the temple to seek blessings. Local sources in Ranthambore have revealed that while Vicky and Katrina’s wedding invitation wasn’t received at the temple, the couple and those around them were informed by locals that they should definitely visit the holy location up in the Ranthambore hills.

Vicky and Katrina are reportedly going to have a Hindu wedding complete with the usual festivities and functions like sangeet, mehendi and pheras. Also planned are elaborate and exotic themes for the wedding week. So in the midst of this cultural melange, a visit to the Trinetra Ganesha Temple might prove to be the proverbial cherry on the wedding cake.

This unique temple was built in the year 1300 AD by King Hammira, and this is the only temple in India to feature Lord Ganesha’s entire family. The temple houses idols of Ganesh, Riddhi Siddhi (his wives) and two sons (Shub and Labh) along with the idol of mushak (mouse, his vehicle).
