BTS star V accidentally follows BLACKPINK’s Jennie on Instagram; dating rumours resurface – Times of India

Korean pop stars BTS made their Instagram debut this week. While the boys have been gaining millions of followers by the hour, one band member found himself in a sticky situation.

V, who was exploring the app, followed BLACKPINK‘s Jennie. However, the decision appeared to be an accident, as he quickly unfollowed the star. His message on WeVese only further affirmed that it was a mistake.

He posted a message that read, “Is there a way to get rid of the ‘recommended’ friends list here on this Insta thing?…. It’s a scary app.”

Though he tried to undo the harmless click, the damage was already done as ARMY had already captured screenshots and spread it on social media for all to see.

The 25-year-old singer-songwriter clarification on his app even seemed to fall on deaf ears. Some possessive fans flooded Jennie’s Instagram’s comments section with hateful messages asking her to back away from V. AllKpop noted that while several fans posted malicious comments and slurs, BLINKS came to her rescue and defend her and asked, “Seriously tho, what’s wrong with following her? It’s not a crime.”

Other concerned fans even suggested that Jennie should turn off her comment section while still others questioned why the star was receiving flak when it was V, who made the mistake.

Some shippers, on the other hand, couldn’t help but cheer the two on by asking, “Are you dating V?”‘

This incident has unearthed the rumours that the two pop icons were secretly dating. Fans had shared a series of ‘evidence’ proving that the two were in fact in a relationship, but despite the claims, the two never address it even once.

Jennie was last in the news when reports claimed she is in a relationship with BIGBANG member G-Dragon, though that, too, remains to be confirmed. On the other hand, V is believed to be single.
