As we gear up to witness the second edition of the coveted Filmfare Awards OTT, celebrating the best of digital entertainment in the past year, Bollywood actor and OTT star Manoj Bajpayee takes a trip down memory lane to share his fondest memories of watching the award show on TV as a child.

During the opening press conference of the award show, Manoj shares how Filmfare Awards were an essential part of his growing up years. “I was really fond of watching films, and my father used to take me to whichever film was running at the time in town, whenever he used to find the time to come to the city and take me out of the boarding school”.

The actor further added, “I really looked forward to that time when I would get to sit in a dark theatre. But before the film started, I used to wait for the documentary of that year–Filmfare Award. That black-and-white documentary of Filmfare used to be my favourite!”

He also reveals that it was in these moments that he nurtured dreams of becoming an actor. “I could see all my favourite actors hobnobbing, not in film costumes or the character costume, but in their own clothes, looking dazzling. And that used to put me in complete awe of the actors and their profession. This is when I was nurturing the dream of becoming an actor,” reminisces Manoj.

After a successful first edition, Filmfare is all set for MyGlamm Filmfare OTT Awards 2021. The second edition of the Filmfare OTT Awards is on its way to celebrating the best of digital entertainment from August 1, 2020, to July 31, 2021. The event will take place tomorrow in Mumbai and will be telecast soon.
