36th Golden Disc Awards: BTS, ENHYPEN, aespa, and others confirmed for the first lineup of performances – Times of India

The prestigious 36th Golden Disc Awards is all set to be held on January 8th, 2022 and now ahead of its premiere, the show makers have revealed its first set of performers on Tuesday.

Popular Kpop groups and solo artists such as BTS, aespa, ENHYPEN, Brave Girls, THE BOYZ, Jeon Somi, Lim Young Woong and Lee Mujin will be a part of the lineup for the star-studded event.

Will the show will be hosted by none other than actor Lee Seung-gi, Lee Da-hee, and Sung Si-kyung, several nominations for different categories have already been officially confirmed for the award show. This includes girl group aespa who has been nominated for ‘Rookie Artist of the Year’ Award with their Digital Song and Album divisions.

ENHYPEN who bagged the title of the rookie award last year, is on the list of nominations for Bonsang (Main Award) in the Album division for “DIMENSION : DILEMMA,” their first million-seller album of the year.

On the other hand, BTS who is currently on their break, is likely to not make it to the event. While BTS members Suga, RM and Jin tested positive, the boys will be unveiling exclusive footage from their recently concluded ‘BTS Permission To Dance On Stage’ concert held in LA. This will be the first telecast of the concert on TV.

Furthermore, THE BOYZ is also a nominee with their album ‘THRILL-ING.’ Brave Girls who is currently basking in the success of ‘Rollin’ and ‘Chi Mat Ba Ram’ will be marking their first appearance at the Golden Disc Awards 2022. Joining them will be Lee Mujin after his track ‘Traffic light’ went viral.

Meanwhile, Lim Young Woong will perform a special number followed by Jeon Somi whose single ‘DUMB DUMB’ is among the nominations for a Bonsang in the digital song category.

36th Golden Disc Awards will be aired via JTBC, JTBC2, and JTBC4.
