On the occasion of 73rd Republic Day, Sruishty Mann sat with us for a candid cup of conversation. The actress shared her view on the Indian constitution, her memories of watching the parade with her family, and much more.

“According to Dr. Ambedkar, “The Constitution is workable, it is flexible and it is strong enough to hold the country together both in peacetime and in wartime.” This I feel is true because our nation always stands with each other through thick and thin. Also, our culture and heritage are so strong that people don’t forget about them and our constitution reflects that a lot,” said the actress.

Further, as aforementioned, Sruishty also went down memory lane and told us about the times when she and her family used to sit together to enjoy the Republic Day parade. She told us, “my whole family used to sit together and watch Doordarshan for the parade. This day is celebrated with fervor and pride across India as it illustrates the importance of all the privileges this nation has offered us and the entire country is decorated in tricolor.”

“As I have a joint family our whole family used to sit together across the television to watch the parade. The sense of great honor and pride always was there watching the soldiers march and the president of India unfurls the national flag, which is divine to watch,” she added.

Last but not least, at the end of the conversation, Sruishty Mann mentioned her all-time favorite patriotic movies. “My personal favorite movies I like to watch would be the ‘Legend of Bhagat Singh’, ‘Border’ and ‘Lakshya’. Be it Republic Day or Independence Day, I always enjoy watching these films,” she concluded.
