And Dileep is accused of masterminding the crime. Following the ordeal, Dileep was arrested on July 10 and lodged in the Aluva sub-jail for 85 days. Recently, the survivor actor broke the silence, spoke in public, and in her note shared, “To see justice prevail, to get wrongdoers punished, and to ensure no one else goes through such an ordeal again, I shall continue this journey. She asked for a public apology from the actor via Kochi Times, and the accused Alencier issued an apology note through our publication. “I am not a saint. I am a human being and like everyone else, I too make mistakes. The only way out is to empathise with those who were hurt, accept the mistake and repent my deed. According to her, Siddique had contacted her via Facebook in 2016 offering her a role in a movie and also asked her to come to a movie screening, for which she went with her parents. “Post lunch, he spoke to me in the garden for a few minutes. That is when he said, ‘You have to be ready for certain “adjustments” with me. Without that, it wouldn’t be possible to be a part of films.’ At first, I did not understand what he meant and as the conversation progressed, when he hinted about liking girls with long fingers, it became clear this is what he is hinting at,” Revathy told Kochi Times. According to the victim, Vijay Babu gained her trust, and sexually assaulted her for over a month by intoxicating her. “He behaved like my saviour for my personal and professional problems but under the guise has sexually exploited me. His modus operandi was pulling me into the trap with the role of a saviour cum friend cum lover, thereafter intoxicating me and sexually abusing me. Whenever I was conscious, I denied consent for engaging in sex. But for him it was never an issue and disregarding my protest he has raped me several times during the past 1 ½ months. He intoxicated me with alcohol and always used to force me to take happy pills but I denied. When I was incapable of saying yes or no consciously, he used my body as a tool for his pleasure. He has forced himself on me and even forced me into oral sex in a car against my will. I was in a state of shock, incapable to talk or respond,” the victim said in her note.
