Sumeet Raghavan has, over the years, proved his mettle as an actor. The ‘Bucket List’ star is currently gearing up for his upcoming Marathi film ‘Ekda Kay Jhala’ helmed by Saleel Kulkarni.

ETimes caught up with Sumeet Radhavan for an exclusive conversation where he spilled the beans on his role, his films and much more. Excerpts…

What attracted you to this film?

Saleel Kulkarni is my dear friend. We know each other for the past 20 years now. I know what an accomplished music director he is. At the same time, he got a very sensitive mind and the kind of work he has done for kids. It is very relatable to everyone.

Go On..

I am not very picky when it comes to choosing films. When he narrated to me the story of ‘Ekda Kay Jhala’ and as expected this was about father and son. So, I immediately said yes to this film. Because the story of this film is very close to my heart and anybody who watches this film, will definitely relate to it.

How different or similar is Sumeet and ‘Kiran’

I don’t want to draw any comparison but yes, I am a father of two kids. It is somewhere similar, the father (Kiran) in this film, is quite similar to Sumeet.

How do you look back at your glorious journey from ‘Dhoom’ to ‘Ekda Kay Jhala’?

It has been excellent, fulfilling and enriching. I feel that I am really blessed for getting such projects.

Do you like this trend of films releasing on OTT?

I think films are here to stay. Television is here to stay. There is space for everybody. One should be open to change. Because change is a constant thing.
