‘Thank You’ box office collection Day 2: Akkineni Naga Chaitanya’s film earns Rs 3.5 crore; heads to be an utter failure – Times of India

There was a lot of talk about Akkineni Naga Chaitanya-starrer ‘Thank You’ ahead of its release. Even after promotional strategies ahead of its release, the romantic drama co-starring Raashii Khanna, Malavika Nair and Avika Gor has had a horrible start at the box office.

At the box office, ‘Thank You’ failed to make an impression. The film reportedly earned Rs 4.50 crore on its first day of release. Unfortunately, the disappointment continues throughout the second day. At the end of Day 2 (Saturday), the movie made Rs. 3.5 crores revenue at the box office. With box office predictions ahead of the movie’s release suggesting that the movie could make around Rs. 8 crores on its opening day, the box office collection for Thank You even after two days is just half of the amount predicted.

Naga Chaitanya plays the role of an aspiring app developer, which has several emotional and intense scenes. However, it does not attract sufficient viewers to the theatres. Apart from the lead cast, ‘Thank You’ also featured Prakash Raj, Sampath Raj, Srinivas Avasarala, Easwari Rao and Tulasi in pivotal roles. The film was bankrolled by Dil Raju under his home banner Sri Venkateswara Creations. This film is directed by Vikram K Kumar with the technical crew comprising PC Sreeram for cinematography, S Thaman for music and Navin Nooli for editing.
