Amid backlash, Janhvi Kapoor lends clarification on her nepotism movie comment on Koffee With Karan 7 – Times of India

During an interaction with Karan Johar at his chat show Koffee with Karan, Janhvi Kapoor said that she would make a film with brother Arjun Kapoor and call it ‘nepotism’. The comment didn’t go down well with the netizens and hence they trolled her for promoting nepotism.

In another interview she said, she would ‘screw trolls’ who mess with her sister Khushi Kapoor. That didn’t go well down with the viewers too. Addressing the same, Janhvi said that she trends to speak rubbish after a point in her interviews.

In an interview with a new portal, the ‘Dhadak’ actress revisited her statements where she said, she will make a film with her ‘filmy family’ and call it ‘nepotism’. Talking to Filmi Mirchi, she said, “I say so much bu*****t. See that’s the thing, what I am trying to speak right now. If I am at the 20th interview of the day, I tend to talk rubbish. So I think I was trying to make a joke, didn’t land very well.”

Janhvi also shared that she got possessive and passionate when said that she would ‘screw trolls who target her sister’. She said, “I was getting very passionate. What can I do, I can’t go look around for them and do something. But it will upset me and it will upset me more than anyone saying anything about me.”

Meanwhile, on the work front, Janhvi will next be seen in ‘Good Luck Jerry’. The film is slated to have an OTT release on July 29. Helmed by Siddharth Sen, the film is a remake of the 2018 Tamil film Kolamaavu Kokila, starring Nayanthara.
