Sunny Leone: The most difficult thing sometimes is to sift through the good, the bad and the ugly from the things that come your way – Times of India

Sunny Leone’s first Bollywood outing, Jism 2, completed 10 years of release on August 3. The actress, well into her 11th year in the Hindi film industry, believes that the last 10 years have been nothing short of amazing and that she is excitedly looking forward to the next 10 years in the business here. Talking about it, she says, “The significance of completing these 10 years is that I completed these 10 years. There are so many amazing things that have happened and that are happening – the opportunities I have had to perform different roles and work with different people. I am excited and looking forward to the next decade already.”

Sunny’s journey has not been short of difficulties and challenging situations. Recalling those testing times and the milestones that she has seen in the last decade, the actress, who has been seen in films like Ek Paheli Leela, Mastizaade, Shootout At Wadala among several others, says, “The most difficult thing sometimes is to sift through the good, the bad and the ugly from the things that come your way. Pushing past the negatives is difficult, too. I think it’s tough to find that space to choose projects that will help you explore who you really are, and tap into new characters. I’ve got some amazing projects lately, and I think it’s all great. The first few projects that I did here were huge milestones for me. They kickstarted everything here. Eventually, my biopic and films like Ek Paheli Leela, the songs and the shows just catalysed the run. I am particularly proud of the biopic. And now, I have this amazing project with Anurag Kashyap which is a great way to kick off the 11th year in my career here.”

Talking about what she feels the future holds, Sunny says, “If my future is as amazing as the last 10 years, I am definitely looking forward to that time. You can always move upwards and onwards in life. If you keep working hard and stay honest to the work you’re doing, people will eventually notice it, and things will happen. It might seem like it all came in easy for me, but nothing ever comes in easy and nothing has been easy for me. I am now looking forward to the film with Anurag; I’m eager to share it with the world.”
