Vicky Kaushal to team up with Anand L Rai for a love story: Report – Times of India

Looks like Vicky Kaushal is on a roll as he’s having some really interesting projects lined-up back to back. The actor is presently shooting for ‘Sam Bahadur’ made by Meghna Gulzar. And now one hears, the actor has teamed up for a film with Anand L Rai.

As per a report in Pinkvilla, Vicky will be seen in Anand L Rai’s next which is a love story. The dup had teamed up earlier for ‘Manmarziyaan’ which was produced by Rai and directed by Anurag Kashyap. As per the report, Rai wants to make an out-and-out love story from the heartland of India and Vicky was quite excited to be a part of it. The film is touted to go on floors next year.

The script is locked while Rai is finalising the film’s cast. The hunt for the female lead opposite Vicky, as it’s a strong female character like his previous films. His last release was ‘Atrangi Re’ starring Sara Ali Khan, Dhanush and Akshay Kumar. After watching ‘Atrangi Re’, Vicky had loved the film so much that he put up a story appreciating the film and asked Rai to cast him in his next directorial. Looks like Anand L Rai, has obliged to his request.


Apart from ‘Sam Bahadur’, Vicky also has a film with Sara Ali Khan directed by Laxman Utekar which has been wrapped up. He also has ‘Govinda Naam Mera’ alongside Kiara Advani and Bhumi Pednekar lined up ahead.
