When bouncers mistook Sudhir Mishra for being Chitrangda Singh’s fan – Times of India

This happened in January 2013 while Sudhir Mishra’s Inkaar, Bollywood’s first MeToo film, was being promoted with a vengeance. It was reported that Sudhir got into a scuffle with bouncers at a mall in Pune.

The mortified moviemaker had explained in a previous interaction, “I’ve never got into a scuffle with anyone. It just so happened that we were at this very crowded mall where the bouncers couldn’t control the crowds. One of them pushed me. He didn’t recognize me and probably thought I was a fan of Chitrangda. If someone pushes you, don’t you push him back? It was no big deal.”

Fan or no, there were strong rumours of a relationship between the director and the actress. They collaborated on three films, and stoutly denied anything beyond a professional association. Mishra and Chitrangda worked together in Yeh Saali Zindagi and Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi apart from Inkar.
