Prakash Raj hits out at Akshay Kumar’s comment on Richa Chadha’s Galwan tweet – Times of India

Prakash Raj has come out in support of Richa Chadha on social media and he has even slammed Akshay Kumar for calling out Richa’s post.

Reacting to Akshay’s jibe on Richa Chadha’s tweet about the 2020 Galwan clash, in which several Indian Army soldiers died, Prakash Raj posted, “Didn’t expect this from you @akshaykumar… having said that @RichaChadha is more relevant to our country than you sir…” In a second post he added, “Yes we stand with you @RichaChadha… we understand what you meant.”

Earlier, Akshay took to Twitter and shared a screenshot of Richa’s comment. He tweeted, “Hurts to see this. Nothing ever should make us ungrateful towards our armed forces. Woh hain toh aaj hum hain (They are there so we exist).” This controversy began after Richa tweeted “Galwan says hi” in reaction to the Northern Army Commander Lt General Upendra Dwivedi’s statement that the Indian Army is “waiting for orders from the govt” in reclaiming Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). Criticising her post, Akshay had shared a screenshot of Richa’s comment and posted, “Hurts to see this. Nothing ever should make us ungrateful towards our armed forces. Woh hain toh aaj hum hain (They are there so we exist).”

After the massive uproar over her post, Richa issued an apology, “Even though it can never be my intention in the least if the 3 words which are being dragged into a controversy have offended or hurt anyone, I apologise and also say that it would sadden me if even unintentionally my words have triggered this feeling in my brothers in the Fauj of which my own Nanaji has been an illustrious part.”
