Sona Mohapatra, who recently shared a behind-the scene clip of her latest song, ‘Rasarkeli Bo’, also wrote about the ‘Besharam Rang’ song from Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer ‘Pathaan’.
Check out her tweet here:

She wrote, ‘The faltu ka hue (useless issue) & cry here around #BesharamRang only helped a mediocre song at best. (clapping hands emoji) Of course the opposite, celebrating music that does showcase our Indic identity, won’t happen in a hurry & the de-raci-‘nation’ will continue.’

‘Besharam Rang’ was the first song that was released from the spy thriller. The song landed in controversy for various reasons. While some expressed their displeasure with the lyrics of the songs, many political leaders and personalities protested against the outfits in the song, including Deepika’s saffron bikini.

However, despite all the protests against the film, it emerged as a winner at the box office. The film has reportedly collected Rs 533 crore worldwide over its five day extended first weekend.

Shah Rukh Khan has already shared his reaction to the overwhelming box office collections during an Ask SRK session on Saturday. A fan asked him, “#Pathaan Ye records dekhne ke baad apko kaisa lag raha hai? @iamsrk #AskSRK”. Shah Rukh replied, “Ha ha lagta hai ab gaon waapis chala jaaoon!!”

The Siddharth Anand directorial also starred John Abraham as the antagonist in the movie. It also featured Salman Khan’s special cameo.
