Did the makers of KGF approach Shah Rukh Khan for a Hindi film after Pathaan success? Here’s the truth – Times of India

Shah Rukh Khan has shattered all the major box office records with Pathaan. The Siddharth Anand directorial has managed to earn Rs 640 crore worldwide and Rs 315 crore in India alone in a week. After the success of Pathaan, there were reports doing the rounds that the makers of KGF franchise have approached SRK for a Hindi film. The production house has now broken the silence.
Reacting to the ongoing rumours, Hombale Films founder Vijay Kiragandur said that there is no such plan as of now. He clarified that they have not spoken to Shah Rukh Khan or his associates about their possible collaboration. He also added that they are not planning to make any Hindi film unless and until they get a really good script to work on.

There’s no doubt that the production house had a great 2022. This year, they are now packed with Prabhas’ Salaar, Fahadh Faasil’s Dhoomam, Keerthy Suresh’s Raghu Thatha, Bagheera and Yuva Rajkumar’s film.

Now that Bollywood has stepped up with Pathaan success, Vijay was asked if it would dent the south cinema. He told India Today, “I don’t think it will affect any of the film industries – North or South. The success of Pathaan will encourage filmmakers to make good films. It is good for the film industries (Bollywood and South) as the audience is coming to theatres in large numbers to watch films. This is good for the Indian entertainment industry as a whole. People want to see larger-than-life films in theatres and the success of Pathaan will help all Indian films.”

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan is back to work while Pathaan runs successfully in theatres. The superstar was clicked on the sets of director Atlee’s upcoming thriller Jawan. The pictures of his monster avatar have now gone viral on the internet.
