Selena Gomez has taken a break from social media after a bit of drama involving her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber’s wife Hailey Bieber.
On Thursday, Gomez went live on TikTok to tell her fans that she’ll be “taking a second” away from social media. “I’m going to be taking a second from social media because this is a little silly. I’m 30 and am too old for this. But I love you so much and I’ll see you guys sooner than later,” she said.

This decision comes after the singer and actress commented on videos of Hailey Bieber and Kylie Jenner dissing her and even Taylor Swift. Although the actress said that she had no bad blood with the two, her latest posts insinuated otherwise.

Selena’s decision to take a break from social media lasted shorter than expected. Fans noted that her account was back up in just a matter of two hours. The recent developments had many wondering if tensions were flaring behind the scenes.

Earlier this week, Selena clarified that she was a fan of Kylie amid accusations that the reality TV star was dissing her eyebrow video.

On Thursday, Gomez even took to the comments section to defend her BFF Taylor Swift after an old video of Hailey seemingly gagging at the singer’s work, resurfaced online.
“So sorry, my best friend is and continues to be one of the best in the game,” Selena wrote in the comments section.

Selena and Hailey last made headlines when they hugged it out at an event. The two stars appeared to emphasize that they were on good terms, contrary to reports of an ongoing cold war between the two.
