Vivek Agnihotri REACTS to Deepika Padukone presenting at the Oscars 2023 – Times of India

Deepika Padukone was recently named as one of the presenters at the upcoming Academy Awards 2023. Wishes have been pouring in from all sides for the actress. Now, Vivek Agnihotri has taken to his Twitter handle to react to the news.

Sharing a tweet announcing the news, the filmmaker wrote, ‘While travelling with #TheKashmirFiles in USA & the overwhelming response of Americans, I had said that now everyone wants to increase their footprint in India. India is now the most lucrative, safe and growing market of the world. This is the year of Indian cinema. #AchcheDin.’Along with Deepika, the names of other presenters included Dwayne Johnson, Emily Blunt, Michael B Jordan and Samuel L Jackson. The 95th Academy Awards will be held on March 12 at Los Angeles’ Dolby Theatre.

Sharing the social media post by the official handle of the Academy, Deepika wrote, “#oscars#oscars95.” Amongst others who showered praise on the actress, her husband Ranveer Singh also took to the comment section and dropped clapping emojis.

Vivek has previously criticised Deepika on two occasions. He first slammed her for her visit to Delhi’s JNU campus when she made a presence at the university following violence in the campus. On the second occasion, he had joined the controversy around Deepika’s song ‘Besharam Rang’, from Shah Rukh Khan starrer, ‘Pathaan’.
