Sushmita Sen shares an empowering message on Women’s Day; says ‘make YOU a priority’ – Times of India

“To be born a Woman is a blessing I thank God for everyday,” said actress Sushmita Sen in an empowering social media post, on the occasion of Women’s Day.
Taking to her social media handle, the actress shared a photo of herself looking out at the horizon. The actress joined a host of Bollywood stars in sending out their empowering messages to all women.

She wrote, “I have the deepest respect for energy & it’s feminine Shakti!!! I call her Maa…I call her Durga…I recognise & celebrate her in all Women (and some men)” she said with a winking smile.

Raising a toast to all women, she wrote, “Here’s to realising the power of such a blessing… Happy Women’s Day!!! Take care of YOU…make YOU a priority…Love Yourself more…express yourself more often…let no one silence you ever…your happiness fuels the universe…never forget YOUR power!!! I love you guys!!!!”

This post comes shortly after the star sent a shoutout to all her female fans when she bumped into our ETimes shutterbugs. “Happy Women’s Day!” she said while extending her hand and sharing her greetings.

Early this afternoon, Sush was spotted at the hospital for a check-up post her heart surgery. The actress revealed last week that she had suffered from a massive heart attack and sought immediate angioplasty. In an Instagram LIVE, the star revealed that she had 95% blockage in her main artery, which lead to a heart attack.

On Tuesday, she shared a health update, announcing that her cardiologist has deemed her fit to start her workouts once again.

On the work front, she will be seen in the next season of ‘Aarya’.
