Directed by Bala, the film features Suriya in the lead role. However after two shedules of the film shooting because of the creative differences between the actor and director, Suriya withdrew from the film. The official announcement was made by director Bala that the film has been temporarily shelved and the work will soon restart. Reports now suggest that Arun Vijay will be replacing Suriya in ‘Vanangaan’ and the actor is now busy with his test shoots. Meanwhile, Suriya is now shooting for ‘Suriya 42’ with director Siva.
