Alanna Panday wanted the vibe of a white wedding: Stylist Ami Patel – Times of India

Dreamy pictures from Alanna Panday and Ivor McCary’s wedding are going viral on the internet. Alanna, a digital content creator and model, based out of Los Angeles is the daughter of fitness expert and author Deanne Panday and Chikki Panday. She is also the cousin of Ananya Panday.

For her wedding, Alanna opted for a magical, enchanted forest ‘white whisper’ theme and was styled accordingly by Ami Patel. Sharing details about Alanna’s look, Ami said, “Alanna wanted an enchanted forest vibe, with white and mint. She definitely wanted the vibe of a white wedding. She was also marrying an American, so the wedding was an amalgamation of Hindu shlokas and at the same time there was a vibe of a white wedding.” Alanna’s bridal look was also a monotone white. Ami, who has styled Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra and others, added, “White is something that she wanted from the start and we just decided to go completely white, without any gold threadwork as well. The jewelry was also only diamonds, we layered a diamond choker with another diamond necklace. It was like a white wedding mixed into a Hindu wedding.”

Revealing a personalized addition about Alanna’s bridal look, Ami shared, “Her custom made kaleeres also took on the theme with clouds, rainbow, unicorn and everything magical. Alanna and Ivor love Italy and we customized the same for their pre-wedding celebrations too.”

While Alanna opted for an all-white lehenga, not too long ago, Alia Bhatt had decked up in an ivory saree for her wedding. Commenting on Bollywood brides ditching red, Ami Patel shared, “A lot of girls are ditching red and opting for lighter colours. Maybe through the Bollywood brides we are seeing this trend inspiring others. I am seeing some people do red as well, but this new trend of pastels and white is amazing. Ivory is a gorgeous and flattering colour. Initially, mothers tell their kids not to wear this colour but now the girls have a mind of their own and I feel it is perfectly fine. There is nothing like an inauspicious colour to wear on your wedding day.”
