Adnan Sami recalls saving clothes from ‘thin days’, determined to ‘fit into them’ one day – Times of India

Adnan Sami has had an inspirational weight loss journey. The celebrated musician worked hard, changed his diet, lifestyle and dropped nearly 120 kilos.
Recently, the singer opened up on being hopeful about his weight transformation. Revealing that he was an athletic teenager, Adnan told Humans of Bombay, “I was not 230 kgs all my life. I was very fit and thin in my teens. I used to play rugby, squash. I was the squash champion of Abu Dhabi. I used to play polo, horseback riding, tent pegging. The weight came to me much later. But I had a whole bunch of clothes in my wardrobe which were from my thin days. My mother turned around one day and said, ‘Listen, why don’t you get rid of these? Get rid of these clothes because they are taking up too much space. You can use these cupboards for something else.’ I said, ‘No, one day, I am going to fit into them. And my mother was like ‘excuse me, wake up and smell the coffee,’.” Despite his mother insisting that he can buy new clothes later, Adan said he hung onto his old stuff.

Adnan Sami achieved the drastic weight loss transformation without any surgery. He had previously clarified, “People thought, ‘inhone surgery karvayi, Liposuction karvaya’ (he got some surgery, he got liposuction) None of it was done by any kind of surgical interference.”
