The only thing that is keeping Zack Snyder away from the fascinating Army Universe that he brought to life in Army of the Dead that starred David Bautista is lack of time. Right now, all his time is being taken up with work for the epic sci-fi film, Rebel Moon.In a recent interview, the filmmaker explained that the Army of the Dead sequel is very much ‘still alive and well in my mind’. He says that much will depend on how his sci-fi project Rebel Moon will fare. That will decide whether he will still make more movies in the Rebel Moon Universe or be able to return to taking up the Army of the Dead sequel.

The Army of the Dead does not tell us more about how the virus that is turning people into monsters originated, so it remains unfinished and will benefit with a sequel or prequel. His fans are hoping that Zack Snyder’s creative genius will soon take up the project.
