Actor Akshaye Khanna, who made his debut with Himalay Putra in 1997 turns 48 today. Initially struggling to find his way, the actor, son of late Vinod Khanna slowly cemented his place in the industry, with some powerful roles on screen. Earlier today, his older brother Rahul took to his IG handle to share an adorable childhood pic with the birthday boy.

Sharing the same, Rahul wrote, “O brother, another birthday.” In the monochrome pic, a visibly taller Rahul rests his hands on his younger brother’s shoulder as the two share the widest grin for the camera. Even though Akshaye is not on social media, his Bollywood friends dropped heartfelt comments on the pics. Casting director Shanoo Sharma commented, “Happy birthday legit crush Akshaye Khanna, ” while celebrity stylist Anaita Shroff Adajania wrote, “Cutest! Happy birthday Akshaye.” Farhan Akhtar, who directed Akshaye in the cult movie Dil Chahta Hai dropped heart emojis on the post.

Akshaye, who was recently seen in Drishyam 2, is known for giving path-breaking performances in movies like Border, Humraaz, Taal, Gandhi, My Father, Deewangee, Section 375 and others. Known as an actor for all seasons, Akshaye has even successfully dabbled in comedy with movies like Hungama. Mostly keeping to himself, the actor prefers to let his work do the talking.
