Sunil Grover opens up about suffering a heart attack: I thought I would never bounce back again – Times of India

Last year, Sunil Grover underwent four bypass surgeries after suffering a heart attack. He was treated at the Asian Heart Institute in Mumbai and was discharged seven days after the surgery. He was also found to be Covid positive at the time of admission. The actor-comedian has now opened up about his health scare and said that he thought he would never bounce back again.
“I was already down with Covid and then this (heart attack) happened. You have to face it and move on in life. Your mind gets clouded with so many different thoughts. Those 1-2 months were mentally tough for me but now I finally feel that everything is fine,” Sunil told Siddharth Kannan.

He further added, “That time you question yourself, ‘Is it ever going to be alright?’ ‘Will I ever be able to bounce back again or not?’ But fortunately, everything went well. Sometimes you tend to think about what would have happened if this would have happened some time later. Maybe, everything happens for a reason. Now I am perfectly fine and enjoying my work.”

The doctor, who had treated Sunil, had earlier told ETimes, “After a week of his admission, an angiography was done. It showed blockages in all three major heart (coronary) arteries with 100% block in two arteries and 70-90% block in the third artery. His heart function was normal and fortunately, there was no damage to the heart muscle. Hence, bypass surgery was recommended and done. He has recovered well and is being discharged now.”

Sunil had resumed work two months after getting discharged from the hospital. He will now be seen sharing screen space with Shah Rukh Khan in Jawan.
