Popular casting director Mukesh Chhabra’s mother Kamla Chhabra passed away on Thursday. She was unwell for the past three weeks and had been admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital for treatment. The cremation took place at the Oshiwara crematorium today morning at 10 am. The Chhabra family has now informed the media that a prayer meet will be held on Sunday, April 16 in the evening.

The health condition of Kamla Chhabra had deteriorated in the past three days. She had lost consciousness and couldn’t not be revived despite best efforts from the doctors who were treating her. She was 73.
At his mother’s funeral, Mukesh was surrounded by his friends from the industry. Celebrities such as Kabir Khan, Imtiaz Ali, Hansal Mehta, Sudhir Mishra, Sunny Kaushal, and Bhushan Kumar among many others were seen paying their last respects.
