Saif Ali Khan who plays Lankesh, inspired by the character of Ravana, in Om Raut’s Adipurush would be missing from all promotional activity for the film that begins in May.
A source in the know informs, “The promotions are being planned at a lowkey level and they will centre almost entirely on Prabhas who plays the central character inspired by Rama. Prabhas has given dates for promotion in May.”

Saif, on the other hand, will be off for his annual vacation with wife Kareena and sons Taimur and Jeh in May.
He will give the Adipurush promotions a miss. Whether this is a planned strategy to avoid controversial questions regarding his character, is anyone’s guess.
