Shah Rukh Khan chalked down the release date of ‘Jawan’ after a thorough discussion with Karan Johar | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jawan’ and the conversation around the film are the latest buzz in the town. According to the reports, the film was earlier slated to release on August 11, but since on the same date Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Animal’ was coming out, the date was shifted to August 25. However, on Friday night the date changed again, and now 7 September has been finalized as the release date for ‘Jawan’.
A source told Bollywood Hungama that Shah Rukh had a discussion with Ranbir and Bhushan Kumar who mentioned they prefer to stick to their date. SRK agreed to their point and didn’t want mega movies to clash on the big screen; thus, he decided to shift the date to August 25.
Thereafter, Shah Rukh Khan spoke to Karan Johar to know if ‘Rocky Rani Ki Kahani’ is releasing on July 28, as scheduled. Johar mentioned that there will be no delay in the release of the Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer. After which SRK gave a good thought about the release date, he realized that in September till the release of ‘Salaar,’ no big film is coming out, so he decided to finalize September 7 for ‘Jawan’.
The source added SRK picked up on a clear window, as he didn’t want ‘Jawan’ to impact the business of any other film be it ‘Animal’ or ‘Dream Girl 2’.
