Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan starrer ‘Zara Hatke Zara Bachke‘ directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Studios will premiere on June 2, this year.
Earlier this year, the trio announced their upcoming untitled project, in which Vicky Kaushal will play Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. They did not do any look tests with Vicky, according to Laxman, who told PTI that he was confident that the actor was ideal for the role. The shooting for the historical film on the Maratha empire will start from October this year.
While they are now occupied with the promotions of Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, Laxman has also started pre-production of this upcoming film about Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, who was the eldest son of Shivaji.
The director has already begun the pre-production and is doing a lot of research, polishing the script and is also engaging in discussions with the team about the shooting environment, the costumes, the casting and so on. Vicky says that he is incredibly enthusiastic about the role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and will give it everything he has.
Vicky Kaushal’s training for the role of the Maratha warrior will take place between July and August. In preparation for the role, he will attend diction classes, horse riding lessons and a few other training sessions.
Furthermore, Vicky Kaushal will also appear in Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam alongside Triptii Dimri and Meghna Gulzar’s Sam Bahadur with Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh. He is reportedly in discussions to join Rohit Shetty’s cop universe as well.
