Kangana Ranaut urges girls to not fall in the trap of ‘photoshopped beauty standards, magazine covers and products take advantage of that vulnerability’ | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Kangana Ranaut is known to speak her mind and is always quite opinionated about what she feels is right or wrong. The actress began her career with Anurag Basu‘s ‘Gangster‘ in 2006 and has come a long way now – as she has even turned producer and director.
A fan on social media shared an old video of Kangana from initial days in the industry and she looks quite naive. Her innocence is also hard to miss in this throwback video. The user shared this and wrote, “looking extremely beautiful in this unseen video during Gangster days. Who could’ve thought that this girl from the mountains, will one day rule Indian film industry. Her ability to break the ice & make an exception is what makes #KanganaRanaut unique & revolutionary”
The actress re-shared this video and spoke about falling in the trap of the beauty standards set by the society, only to regret it later. She tweeted, “Oh my God where did you find this?? It’s strange when we are younger we are never happy with our appearance and later we regret the way we hated our appearance / achievements/ struggles almost everything , I don’t know why all young women do that, the only reason could be teenagers are most vulnerable to brainwashing… and all those photoshopped beauty standards, magazine covers and products take advantage of that vulnerability… Be aware …”

Kangana is currenly working on her next film ‘Emergency‘. It sees Kangana as Indira Gandhi. She’s also directed the film.
