Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif tied the knot in December 2021. But the couple had first met at an award show which was hosted by Ayushmann Khurrana and Vicky. A clip from the show had gone viral after the couple tied the knot where Vicky told Katrina, “Aap kisi acche se Vicky Kaushal ko dhundhke shadi kyun nahi kar leti? Shadi ka season chal raha hai. (Why don’t you find a good Vicky Kaushal and get married? The wedding season is going on)”. That line left Katrina shocked.
But now Vicky has revealed the inside story on that. Vicky said that it was scripted and he had to say that line for whichever heroine was coming on stage. Destiny had it that it turned out to be Katrina Kaif who walked on stage. He had also told her, “Mujhse shadi Karoge’. Salman Khan was also present at the award show and his reaction was priceless.
Earlier, when Katrina had appeared on Karan Johar‘s chat show and was asked who she would look good on-screen with, she had said, “I think Vicky and I would look good together, since he is tall.”
That further sparked things for them and the duo ended up falling in love as they were introduced to each other and began talking at a party hosted by Zoya Akhtar. The couple had never spoken about their relationship publicly, hence it was a shock for everyone when they actually straight away announced marriage.
At the moment, Vicky is gearing up for the release of his film, ‘Zara Hatke Zara Bachke’ with Sara Ali Khan.
