Ahyeon caused quite a stir after it was reported that she has exited YG Entertainment’s BABYMONSTER. It was revealed that the band will debut with six members
“BABYMONSTER will be debuting as a six-member group with Ruka, Pharita, Asa, Haram, Rora, and Chiquita. After careful discussion, it was decided that Ahyeon, who prepared together [with BABYMONSTER], will be focusing on getting rest for the time being due to health reasons.Although we are saddened to be unable to introduce Ahyeon as a member of BABYMONSTER, we made this decision for the sake of the artist’s health. We will spare no support so that Ahyeon can recover fully and return in good health,” Soompi quoted the agency.
Amid Ahyeon’s exit from BABYMONSTER, YG has reportedly stated that the band will continue to be a seven-member group. According to kpopstarz, the agency revealed that Ahyeon will miss the debut activities but is likely to join the group in the future, after her health improves. YG Entertainment reportedly told Sports DongA that Ahyeon’s complete departure from the band was not true, giving some hopes to fans of the idol.
BABYMONSTER will release their debut MV and song on November 27.
