After Sachin Tendulkar, Vinod Kambli’s life story to be turned into a film: deets inside | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Sachin Tendulkar’s life story was converted into a documentary with Sachin: A Billion Dreams. The film portrayed how Sachin’s journey impacted not only the cricketing world, but also the entire country. The documentary released in 2017, was directed by James Erskine and was produced by Ravi Bhagchandka and Shrikant Bhasi, with music by A. R. Rahman.
And it seems producer Ravi Bhagchandka through his company 200 Notout, has picked up the life story rights of Sachin Tendulkar’s friend Vinod Kambli. The rights have been picked up for all languages and for all kinds of formats ( movie/ web show etc) that are currently existing and for ones that will be created in the future. The producer recently shared a notice in a trade magazine Film Information claiming the rights, and also said that anyone else who is claiming them will land in trouble.
At this point, one can’t be sure if Vinod’s life will be converted into a film, a web show or a documentary. Vinod is a former left handed batsman who played for India and represented Mumbai in Ranji Trophy matches. He has a test match average of 54, but played his last test match at the age of 23, his one day career too, ended at the age of 28. Post cricket, he has been involved with movies, reality shows, cricket commentary and for a brief period of time he was also coach at Sachin’s cricket coaching institute. He also was in the news a few years ago, when he revealed that he is going through difficult financial times.
