Animal: Third Biggest Hindi Film in North America with US $15 Million Box Office Collection | – Times of India

Sandeep Reddy Vanga and Ranbir Kapoor unleashed a juggernaut at the box office with Animal. A father-son story wrapped in a revenge saga pierced through everyone’s heart, and sent the cash registers ringing not only in India, but also across the globe, especially in North America territory ( United States of America and Canada).
In India, Animal is not only the highest grossing A rated film, it is also the second biggest hit of Indian Cinema with a box office collection of Rs 553.87 crore, with only Jawan ahead of it which minted more than Rs 600 crore.

Coming to North America territory, the film which released on December 1, went on to collect US $ 15,001,042 in its two month long run at the box office.The film was released in multiple languages like Hindi, Tamil, Telugu etc, but 95% of its collection came from Hindi and rest from Telugu and Tamil. Come to think of it, Prabhas and Prashant Neel’s Salaar:Part 1- Ceasefire folded up in North America with US $ 9 million.
Animal has gone on to become the third biggest hit of Hindi cinema, alongside Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan ( US $ 17.45 million) and Jawan ( 15.23 million). Overall it is the fifth highest grossing film with Baahubali 2- The Conclusion, leading from the front with US $ 22 million and RRR on 4th position with US $ 15.15 million.
Animal had a stellar star cast of Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna and Triptii Dimri.
