“My MJ,” Tom began referencing her character ‘Mary Jane‘ and added, “have the happiest of birthdays. Gimme a call when your up xxx.”
With this, the co-stars made their relationship Instagram-official.
The post sent fans on social media into a frenzy. Many took to Twitter to obsess over the fact that Tom called Zendaya ‘My MJ’. While some called them “soulmates”, others cheered the couple on.

Romance rumours sparked off back in July when the two were spotted kissing in a car. The co-stars reportedly fell in love while making the movie, and though they have been trying to keep their romance out of the spotlight, reports claimed that they have been spending a lot of time together.
“They got to know each other while on set. They became friends and started getting romantic a few months ago,” a source told E!News.
Holland, previously described Zendaya as his best friend and praised her for helping him navigate fame.
The pair wouldn’t be the first ‘Spider-Man’ co-stars to enjoy an off-screen romance.
Kirsten Dunst and Tobey Maguire embarked on a relationship while shooting ‘Spider-Man’ in 2002, but had split before filming the third instalment in 2007.
‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ co-stars Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone enjoyed a three-year romance until 2015.
On the work front, ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home‘ is slated for a December 2021 theatrical release.
