Kangana Ranaut visits late Jayalalitha’s memorial ahead of ‘Thalaivii’ promotions – Times of India

Ahead of ‘Thalaivii‘ release, Kangana Ranaut paid a tribute to former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa’s memorial on Saturday morning. She also shared pictures from her visit to Marina Beach in Chennai. Decked in a glorious orange and red saree, the actress looked absolutely stunning. She completed her OOTD with a colourful pearl choker, a neat bun and gajra.

Recetly while promoting her movie on social media, Kangana slammed photo sharing platform Instagram for ‘unprofessionalism’. She wrote, “Dear @instagram I need to add my film trailer link to my profile I am told my profile is verified so you own it now, even though I have earned and build this name and profile over many years but on insta I need your permission to add anything to my own name or profile. Your team in India tells me that they need to take permissions of their international bosses… it’s been one week feeling like a slave of bunch of white idiots.”

‘Thalaivii’ is scheduled to hit the screens on September 10 and the makers decided to premiere the biopic on a popular OTT platform just two weeks after its theatrical release. Tihis decision has irked several multiplex owners who are demanding a longer time gap between the release of the film in theatres and OTT platforms. Reacting to the same, producer Vishnuvardhan Induri tols ETimes, “This happens. We are still negotiating with them, but we have to also make sure that we recover our investment. The theatre owners should support us because we are taking the risk of releasing the film in theatres despite the fact that as producers we have got returns from non-theatrical platforms.”
