Speaking to ETimes producer Vinod Bachchan says, “We have a montage song that will be shot by choreographer Rajeev Surti and some scenes that will also be canned here.”
Directed by Kamal Pandey ‘Jahaan Chaar Yaar’ went on floor in March this year. The shooting of the film had to be stalled in April after some unit members tested positive for Covid-19. The unit resumed shooting only in August in Mumbai and now the team has moved to Goa for the final schedule of the film.
Vinod Bachchan is aiming at a theatre release but says, “Ideally I would want to release it in cinemas but it all depends on the situation.”
Cinemas in Maharashtra have yet to reopen and most films releasing are writing off 25 per cent of the prospective business. Producers are trying to look at better OTT deals like the ones given to ‘Bell Bottom’ and ‘Thalaivii’. It will be interesting to see what plays out for ‘Jahaan Chaar Yaar’.
