The 6-year-old Chaitra was reportedly raped and murdered on September 9, a day before Ganesh Chaturthi. Her body was found at the house of the accused in Saidabad Singareni basti, Hyderabad late at night on the same day. The heinous crime has left the entire country fuming with depression and anger. However, after seven days, the body of the accused Pallakonda Raju was found on the railway tracks at Ghanpur station in Telangana, 16 September. According to the police, he jumped in front of a train and died by suicide on Thursday.
