Unlike other film industries in India, Tollywood is having a huge no. of releases every week. Today, there are about 8 movies releasing in theatres in Telugu states namely Gem, Gully Rowdy, Honey Trap, Plan B, and dubbing movies from Tamil Kodiyil Oruvan/ Vijaya Raghavan. Hollywood movies are ‘Don’t Breathe 2’, ‘Free Guy’, and ‘Old’.’

Coming to the big Telugu releases today, Maestro occupies the top. It is a 2021 Telugu remake of the 2018 superhit Hindi film ‘Andhadhun’. The film stars Nithiin, Tamannaah Bhatia, and Nabha Natesh. It is a known fact that the black comedy crime thriller was supposed to release in theatres, but due to the Covid-19 pandemic crisis, it had opted for a direct OTT release. The film is produced by Sudhakar Reddy and Nikitha Reddy.

The film will also see Bengali actor Jisshu Sengupta playing a crucial role in the movie, besides Sreemukhi, Ananya Nagalla, Harsha Vardhan, Racha Ravi, Mangli, and Srinivasa Reddy playing other important roles. It was reported to have certain tweaked characters to suit the Telugu nativity. The film has been getting mixed reviews upon its release.
