Not many were that much surprised when former Union Minister Babul Supriyo decided to jump ship to the ruling party of West Bengal recently and this has led to mixed reactions. In fact, those Tollywood celebs who have never shied away from sharing their political views have also raised their eyebrows after the recent political drama. And, Parambrata is one of them.
Days after Babul Supriyo made his political switch the popular actor took to his social media handle to share his views on the recent development in state politics. He believes that politics have become a business in India these days and his tweet sharply points out the current political scenario of our country, “The business of politics, the way it’s practiced in this country, never fails to disappoint & disgust!”

Be it promoting democracy or advocating for a particular political party, or running for election, celebrities have these days become a mainstay in Indian elections. Closer home, the latest instance was this year’s Assembly Elections when the Bengali entertainment industry was literally divided amidst the political circus. After the elections were over, there were few celebs who decided to quit politics and it led to an uproar among all.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Parambrata has a busy year ahead. He has some interesting films like Srijato’s ‘Manabjamin, Srijit Mukherji’s film on Shri Chaitanya and Saptaswa Basu’s paranormal thriller ‘Jotugriha’ in his kitty.
