Celebrated Bollywood choreographer Shiamak Davar‘s mother Puran Davar passed away on September 23. Aged 99, she was reportedly not keeping well. Several Bollywood celebrities took to social media to offer condolences to the choreographer. Shiamak is hailed as one of the most popular choreographers in Bollywood and has been the brains behind several hit dance numbers.
From Shah Rukh Khan to Shahid Kapoor and Karisma Kapoor to Madhuri Dixit – Shiamak Davar has choreographed several leading Bollywood celebrities.
Speaking about his passion for dance, Shiamak had told IANS, “Dance for me is life. My motto has always been, ”Have Feet. Will Dance”. For me and my team, it is our mission to impart the joy of dance to everyone. Dance is one of the best ways to de-stress. It’s a way for the kids to creatively channel the energy at home and also bring a smile to everyone’s faces. The music comes alive when one is performing and right now it’s a great time for anyone who wants to learn something.”
