A source close to the investigation revealed to ETimes that Jacqueline Fernandez did not show up at the ED office for her questioning today at the stipulated time.
The source said, “Jacqueline was supposed to show up today afternoon, but she skipped. Officials are not going to find out about her location and reason for not showing up.” The source also revealed that the line questioning today was going to be in connection with a purported transaction that may have taken place between Jacqueline and the prime accused in the case Sukesh Chandrasekhar.
The case is based on an FIR filed by Delhi Police’s Economic Offences Wing (EOW) against Sukesh and others over alleged criminal conspiracy, cheating, and extortion of about Rs 200 crore. Earlier, the ED officials had shared in a statement, “Sukesh Chandrasekhar is the mastermind of this fraud. He has been a part of the crime world since the age of 17. He has multiple FIRs against him and is presently lodged at the Rohini jail.” Reports suggest that Sukesh was in touch with Jacqueline through calls and messages and the ED wants to question the actress about the same.
On the professional front, the actress was recently seen in ‘Bhoot Police’ with Saif Ali Khan, Arjun Kapoor and Yami Gautam. She is all set to be seen in ‘Bachchan Pandey’, ‘Kick 2’, ‘Ram Setu’, ‘Cirkus’ and ‘Attack’.
