
Naga Chaitanya’s ‘Love story’ waited for more than a year to see the light of day as it was initially scheduled to release on April 2, 2020, however unfortunately the film got postponed to Jan 2021 and later again got pushed even further due to the second wave. With things getting back to normal, the film finally got released on (Friday) September 24, 2021.
Now, as per the latest reports, the box office collections of the film are solid with close to 10 crores share worldwide, which is huge in the present situation. Reportedly, the most surprising numbers came from Nizam, where it has collected around 3.5 crores on day 1. With a strong word of mouth and the weekend, the ticket sales are expected to be huge.
The film will also reportedly stand as the biggest opener in India post 2nd wave. The film has also been reported having done magic in its USA premiers and regular shows on Day 1.
A huge no. of family audiences have rushed to the theaters to catch the film on day 1. Therefore if ‘Love Story’ sustains the same buzz at the theaters for a few more days. It will give the needed oxygen for other filmmakers to dare and release their films in theaters before going for direct OTT streaming.
Going by its collections, ‘Love story’ is one of the biggest releases this year. The film has a major star cast to pull the audiences to the theaters. Also, the direction by an established filmmaker Sekhar Kammula is one of the reasons for the film to be considered as a promising project. The film is unlike few other films that have been released in theaters in recent times.
The film also had a lot of hype after its songs became viral on youtube and other music platforms. The film released yesterday has pleased its fans as well. Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi are reportedly receiving great appreciation for their performance in the film.
