Rhea Chakraborty turned down more than Rs 35 lakh per week from ‘Bigg Boss’ – Times of India

Actress Rhea Chakraborty was offered much more than Rs 35 lakh per week to be part of ‘Bigg Boss 15’. The actress who is running a dry spell and needs it more than ever has politely turned down the offer.

According to the information revealed to ETimes, the actress will not be going into the Bigg Boss house that is starting on October 2. Rhea Chakraborty has been meeting film producers both in Bollywood and down South for work and will be starting to work in films once again, but she is certainly not going to the Bigg Boss house.

The actress whose life has been under scrutiny has preferred to keep quiet and has been avoiding to speak to the media. The actress has been getting offers for films and web series but has yet to sign a project.

She was last seen in Rumi Jafry’s ‘Chehre’ that starred Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi in lead roles. It also featured Annu Kapoor and Krystle D’Souza in key roles. The movie received mixed reviews from the audience and the critics alike.

Earlier, talking to ETimes in an exclusive interview, director Rumi spoke about how whatever happened with Rhea will not affect his film. He had said, “I don’t think the film will suffer because of Rhea’s personal life controversy. I will admit that I felt it would have affected the film, had it released last year. Everyone knows what a furore the media caused with the whole Sushant Singh Rajput case and Rhea’s arrest. Last year, she was a ‘witch’, a ‘golddigger’ and whatnot; this year she was declared as the ‘most desirable woman’. This shows there has been a change in the perception of people. So, I really don’t feel the film will have an adverse effect because of what happened with Rhea last year.”
