Aryan Khan drug case: Arbaaz Merchant files bail plea in court – Times of India

Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan’s friend and actor Arbaaz A Merchant’s lawyer had filed a bail plea before the Esplanade Court where he along with other accused will be produced today for the hearing of the ongoing cruise drugs bust case.

According to ANI, Merchant is also seeking a probe on the CCTV footage of the cruise ship “to check if NCB recovered something from Arbaz or it was planted on him.” He had filed a separate application on the same alongside his bail plea in the case.

Currently, Arbaaz was taken by the Narcotics agency for his routine medical check up before producing him in the Mumbai court at 2:30 pm.

Today marks the end of their extended custody under the Narcotics Control bureau. However, the team is likely to seek a further extension of the custody period today after booking a foreign national drug supplier from the Bandra area late Wednesday night.

As per reports, the investigating agency has recovered a commercial quantity of mephedrone (MD) from the supplier who was reportedly found in an area that was in close proximity to both Aryan and his friend, Arbaaz Merchant. These raise serious suspicion of a probable international drug link.
