
Aryan Khan was arrested on October 3 by the NCB after drugs were seized from a cruise party that he was attending. He has been reportedly moved to a special barrack and is being monitored by the officials. Previously, authorities had revealed that Aryan’s parents sent him a money order of Rs 4500 for his canteen expenses. No home food has been reportedly allowed for him yet.
In his bail application, Aryan had stated that he was “innocent” and “falsely implicated in the present crime”, and concluded stating that with his “deep roots in society and will not tamper with investigation or abscond”. While the NCB, in its reply to the bail plea, alleged that material collated during investigation revealed the accused No 1 (Aryan Khan) has a role in illicit procurement and distribution of contraband. The NCB stated that Aryan procured contraband from Accused No. 2 (Arbaaz Merchant), from whom 6 grams of Charas was recovered. The investigating agency also stated that Aryan Khan was in touch with people who appear to be a part of an international drug network.
Recently during a counselling session by officials, including NCB’s zonal director Sameer Wankhede and social workers, Aryan had stated that after his release, he will work for “social and financial uplift of the poor and downtrodden” and will never do anything which could bring him publicity for the wrong reasons, an agency official told PTI.
