He shares, “At the time when I decided to take this leap, the financial aspect was definitely a concern. With television, it does give you some financial security.” In the past actors have hailed the medium for its monetary offering. Also the long running format of the show makes it a stable work option for artistes. Thus, the actor also had to convince his parents who were worried about his future. He adds, “I had to convince my family to show trust in me.”
However, between 2020 and 2021, Vikrant says that he’s realised that nothing is certain in life. “The pandemic showed us that nothing is certain as we saw so many TV shows going off air. Even some news shows that came in got wrapped up within no time. One thing I learnt from the whole situation is that you really cannot plan things as there’s no security.”
Vikrant says that though he hails from showbiz, the one thing that keeps him going even during these tough times is his limited needs. “I come from a basic middle class background. Through the years my lifestyle hasn’t changed and my wants are limited,” he signs off.
